Royal Crown Derby
The history of Royal Crown Derby goes back to some time before 1750, when Andrew Planche established the first china works in Derby. Shortly after that he began to collaborate with William Duesbury, together they produced high-quality china and the rest, as they say, is history. Today, it employs 200 craftspeople and manufactures the highest quality English fine bone china in its factory in Derby, England. Their pieces are truly royal and it is no surprise Queen Victoria granted permission to include the title “Royal” in the company name in 1890.
