Milan Design Week 2018 : A Round Up of Micro-Trends

It’s been a hectic few days here in Milan and the design scene is truly buzzing. We continue our journey today through the wealth of talented brands, established and emerging designers at Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone. Each unique and interesting in their own right.

Here’s a round up of micro-trends we’ve spotted through the many halls we’ve visited (so far) at Salone del Mobile 2018 and also throughout the events all around the city (Fuorisalone).

Neo-Tastic

Fluorescent hues are everywhere, not only do they catch our eye miles away but they inject joyfulness to any interior.

Boho Vibes

Earthy tones, embroidered handiwork, mustard yellow and terracotta hues ground us creating a chilled out bohemian chic atmosphere.

Figurative

Modern, almost surreal expressions and figurines are on the rise. It’s a playful trend that invites us to have fun!
