Portuguese Flair with Mambo Unlimited Ideas

You may have noticed we have a thing for Portuguese brands, namely, Boca do Lobo, Ginger & Jagger and Insidherland. They’ve been with us since the early days of The Longest Stay, capturing Sherry’s design eye in Masion & Objet in Paris many moons ago. We keep coming back to Portugal for more; we are wrapped around their passion for design and their unaltered craftsmanship. So, it’s with great pleasure we introduce Mambo Unlimited Ideas.

Mambo Unlimited Ideas work with a variety of materials to fit your interior design aesthetic, ranging from metals like brass, copper and lacquered metals to high polish glass and wood. Each product is easily installed and individually made by expert craftsmen, ensuring that every unit is produced to incredibly high standards assuring the best finishing, resistance and durability. This is why their products suit residential projects, as well as, commercial clients. We love the way this luxurious cocktail bar displays the beautiful Jules III Suspension lamp adding an effortlessly sleek breath of fresh air to the venue.

Of course, if you’re looking for something slightly less glam, we have to talk about the Expand and Revolution Suspension lamps. As their name suggests, they are a modern take on the Jules III lamps to fit a younger and more contemporary aesthetic. Starting from only £521 (we also offer a spread to pay option), place one of these beauties above your dining table to do the trick. Pair it with a classic wooden dining table and chairs for maximum impact.

We would be remiss not to mention their super stylish and comfy seating designs. In particular, we fell head over heels with the State Collections – a cheeky nod to the soft curves and velvet materials of the swinging 60s – and a modern twist. However, our favourite design element is the pop of colour attributed to every piece. For example, the State’s chair structure is made of lacquered metal in fresh mint green finished with luxury piping. Check out the entire collection here.

Last but not least, with Mambo’s Air coffee table collection your home will be singing notes of freedom! Draw the right kind of attention to your living room with its hand crafted grid-like metal base, lacquered in a variety of rich shades combined with a stunning wooden table top. For something a little more sophisticated and grown up opt for the Soul coffee table and side table, available in either brass or copper feet with a dark walnut table top.

When it comes to design Claudia Melo and Ana Ladeiro have a wealth of experience creating outstanding products for Mambo Unlimited Ideas and they bring the brand’s ethos to life with true artistry. Landing them coveted press coverage in publications like Elle Décor, AD, and Vogue to name a few.

Portugal is the land that keeps on giving when it comes to design and we can’t wait to discover more amazing partners to work with.
