Decorex & 100% Design: The Highlights

We are midway through this year’s London Design Festival which has presented us with a programme of exciting shows and exhibits. Each show has introduced a multitude of different designers, each with their own innovative style that is enriched by the constant change and flow of today’s trends. More importantly these designers are paving the way and influencing tastes in the interior sector. Two of the predominantly influential shows we have attended so far have been Decorex and 100% Design. Take a look at the highlights from our trip through these fascinating and awe-inspiring events, held in iconic boroughs of London.

Decorex

Koket

Koket

Koket’s opulent style has always amazed onlookers in their showrooms, their set-up in Decorex was no different. They had chosen to embellish their stall with eye-catching glittery wallpaper that instantly drew a crowd to their section. More importantly they were showcasing their new collection labelled ‘Metal rage’. This included cabinets, wardrobes, storage units and furniture all given shining metal accents. The real star of the show was their glamorous light fixtures. Ranging from small wall fitting to extravagant chandeliers, these lights were lovingly placed for high impact. Take a look for yourself!

Ginger & Jagger

One of our renowned brands Ginger & Jagger made their usual appearance at the event. This year they teamed up with Munna to furnish their section, the result was breath-taking. The soft velvet included in the Munna sofas paired with the nature-inspired designs of Ginger & Jagger worked perfectly. Each brand creates unique furniture with soft curves and home decorations with a femenine tone. See for yourself:

Bert Frank

Their stall was minimal yet impactful, featuring sumptuous velvet sofas and subtle wall sconces; it was a delight for us to visit them. See for yourself:

Whilst on our journey through the stalls we spotted a number of promising brands that caught our eye. Each presenting a refreshing take on interior design. Take a look at some alternative brands whose displays that we enjoyed:

We stumbled across Atelier Alain Ellouz’s impressive construction in Decorex and were astounded by their work. The designer, Alain Ellouz, shapes and moulds alabaster into stunning furniture and light shades. She had exhibited her work in a large room tiled with the gorgeous material. When lit from behind this material really shows its true character. Each grain and line is revealed and illuminated, this is why a lot of her pieces introduce the aspect of light into their design. As you can see, their designer dining table has a luminous base that creates an ethereal glow.

The Water Monopoly is a rather sophisticated brand that focuses, as you can imagine, on the bathroom. Their arrangements were extremely familiar and cosy. As stylists they try to challenge perceptions of what a bathroom is used for, making it more of a comfortable environment or as they put it a ‘lived in space’.

Mineheart

In usual Mineheart fashion, when we approached their stall at 100% Deign we were greeted by a smoke machine that engulfed the light fixtures in a mysterious fog. Their eccentric style has always been popular with our customers and they certainly put on a show this year. Their new items included eerie pendant lights and intricate metal nesting tables. See our snaps below:

Delightfull

At Delightfull’s stall there were a few old favourites meshed with some new items. Their deigns are often inspired by man-made forms of instruments, playing with warm metals. A particular gem we spotted was this cleverly designed table lamp. Each face has its own bulb allowing it to project light at all angles. Not to mention its shape being… delightful! Original BTC makes the most stunning range of light fixtures. This certainly was a theme we found to be prevalent in 100% Deign, beautiful and inspiring lights! We have come across this brand before and we were immediately taken in by their fun yet delicate style.
