Our oak furniture is finished with a pigmented hardwax oil. This protective finish forms a natural coating, repelling most common substances and fluids. However, this is not a complete guarantee against stains.

Universo Positivo was started by furniture makers Ethnicraft and designers Jan and Lara. They first showed their work at the Maison&Objet in 2013. They have collaborated with Hertel Klarhoefer, David Caspar Schafer, Thomas Merlin and Jonas Wahlstrom to create a wonderful collection. Their pieces reflect simplicity and refinement but have a touch of the playful side that emphasizes their idea that you should enjoy life.
The Sputnik coffee table is inspired by the little drawings of the 1950s space rockets. Sophisiticated techniques bring this minimalistic design to life. The table top is made from metal and has a central wooden piece that is so seamlessly put together that it looks like one whole piece.
