Meet the maker

Renowned designer Garth Williams started working in Zimbabwe with a small group of highly skilled artisans in 1991. They developed an Afro-centric range using recycled metal, wood and rapoka stone that later that year established into a company named Afrika Trading. Ten years on Williams significantly shaped the art scene in Zimbabwe but was forced to leave Zimbabwe in 2002. Afrika Trading eventually rebranded and became known as Edge Company, where Williams is still designing quality items today to add to his latest collection.

Description

These eye-catching sheep and lamb ornaments are hand crafted using recycled metal, designed by Garth Williams and made by a cooperative of highly skilled artisans from Zimbabwe.
Guests will undoubtedly stare in awe at these slightly unusual, but striking designs that will make excellent talking points. The carefully stretched coiled wire represents the sheep’s fluffy fur and is delicately cross-wrapped around its frame. The ornaments come in either nickel or black, but why not collect both to create a herd of your own?
