As much as we love bringing you the most renowned brands in furniture design, we also relish the opportunity to introduce smaller, independent brands that create unique furniture. Especially when that brand is made in Britain.
Based in Brighton, Dare Studio is an award-winning family run company that produces contemporary furniture and lighting for both commercial and residential properties. Founded by Sean Dare in 2009, they’ve worked on collaborations with the likes of Herman Miller and Aston Martin, which speaks to their bold architectural style as much as it does about the care and craftsmanship that goes into every piece.
If you love classic pieces that will add warmth and a modern vibe to your interiors then this brand is for you. For instance, the form and structure of their luxury chairs have a strong mid-century appeal, complement with a rug by Nanimarquina and the Oskar dining table for the perfect look.
For those of you who enjoy an injection of colour in their furniture, Dare Studio does not disappoint. The exaggerated shape of the Hardy wingback sofa features a luscious crushed red jaguar velvet fabric that is sure to turn heads, whilst the Bronte sofa is ideal for smaller spaces but equally eye-catching. The Dixon modular unit is the perfect storage solution piece to keep your living space organised and stylish.
If you’re a book lover then you’ll adore the Hardy wingback chair to create a reading nook – the perfect spot to cosy up with your favourite literary piece. The Wire group coffee table features a marble top and copper base that contrasts beautifully with the chair’s navy blue velvet fabric.
A few weeks back, we spoke about the importance of creating the perfect home office environment, and Dare Studio’s Katakana writing desk is sure to add sophistication and an air of masculinity to your space. Along with the Katakana chair, these pieces boast angular lines and are made with dark American walnut. Add greenery to your workspace to enhance the natural finish of the wood.
Last but not least, is the Section console made from powder coated mild steel and white oak with a wax oil finish. The console features three leather lined drawers and a floating shelf. Its silver frame in combination with its wooden structure would fit perfectly in an industrial-inspired interior, pair with one of Urban Industrialists lights for a match made in warehouse haven.
Whichever way you look at it Dare Studio is a brand that’s going places and they are definitely one to watch! Check out the entire collection and let us know what piece you’d want to buy for your home in the comments below.
