Scandinavian brand Gubi are the treasure hunters of our generation. Based in Copenhagen's docklands, and fuelled by a passion to uncover overlooked icons from the past and future icons in the making, Gubi are a serious design force receiving international recognition for their work. The result is an eclectic, international collection that blurs the lines between the past and the future, chasing forgotten icons from the 30's to the 70's. Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) was a French architect and Art Deco Modernist designer. Adnet was recognised as one of the most promising young designers at both the Salon d'Automne and Les Expositions des Arts Decoratifs. His style is the epitome of luxury and in 1950, developed a formidable partnership with French fashion house Hermes, where his craft for leather-covered furniture was perfected. Adnet also designed apartments and offices for numerous clients including the French President.
